Strength Training
This is a skilled training program here at A. Yumang Physical Therapy. This is specifically for patients who want to focus on strength training with decreased risk for injury, lifting right, and knowing the right foundational training before you start pushing heavy weight training. It begins with a thorough assessment from a PT Consult.
We will address various areas to keep you healthy, strong, better balanced, stable, and mobile. Unlike the fitness program, this emphasizes foundational muscle group training, strength training, and lifting. We will train performance muscles, continued core stability, support, and accessory muscles essential to achieving your goals, whether you do it just for fun or are competitive. This is great for CrossFit, weight trainers, bodybuilders, and athletes who want to do things right, safely, well, and pain-free. This is also great for performing in conjunction with your home or local gym training. At. A. Yumang Rehab, you will receive your trainer's expertise in the most up-to-date information, safety, and evidence-based approach. The program typically lasts six weeks.
Our program offers flexibility in training options. You can choose:
Train with your PT, PTA, or Fitness trainer, depending on your preference and budget. You can opt for a package of 12 sessions or book individual training sessions for more value. We have 20-minute, 30-minute, or 40-minute sessions available, so you can find a schedule that fits your lifestyle.
Exercise to Go. If you cannot come frequently, we can continue to update your progress, provide monthly feedback, or keep in touch with your gains. Our program is designed to cater to your individual needs. We will provide access to an exercise app where you can correspond with your trainer and give feedback and updates. This personalized approach ensures that your training always aligns with your goals and preferences.
Rest assured, our program is designed to address all the critical areas of your physical health. We will continue to improve your strength and impact endurance, core stability, athletic performance, and posture, ensuring that you maintain your progress after your Rehab.
Improve strength: We will perform using weight training, free weights, monitored strength testings, and updates.
Improve Endurance: Use appropriate equipment such as treadmills, bikes, and plyometrics.
Improve Core Stability: Perform strength training and core training, which includes gym balls, kettlebells, and BOSUball.
Improve athletic performance: Continue to address areas that stand out during your therapy and must be sustained to help you reach your peak performance. As appropriate, we will work on agility, coordination, balance, stability, strength, and posture.
Improve Posture: Help decrease the long-term effects of poor posture and reduce unforeseen musculoskeletal issues.

If you prefer a shorter and quicker version of this program, you can do the 20-minute session with a PT. You will need a PT Consult before taking advantage of this short session. (This is a cash/credit-only program you can book online).
