Cupping Procedure

The trained clinician applies this cup-like device to help increase blood flow to a specific area. This modality is used to help decrease spasms, improve healing time, and reduce pain and soreness. There are two techniques that the clinician may use: static cupping (not moving) or dynamic cupping (which is sometimes incorporated with soft tissue work). Let your clinician know if you have a preference. This is great in conjunction with therapy to help facilitate recovery, blood flow, and exercise prep. Sometimes, It is used before stretching a muscle. This is great for rehab when muscle spasms are intense and cause pain. This approach is also great for recovery, especially after a hard workout, a long run, and a challenging game. A PT Consult is not required. A short consult is included with your first visit. Therefore, your first visit usually takes 30 minutes.

If you file insurance, this procedure is included with your therapy plan, making it accessible to a wide range of clients. You can come here as many times as you need for recovery and maintenance care, ensuring that you receive the support you need, when you need it.

At our clinic, we understand that everyone's needs are different.  That's why we offer flexibility in session duration. Your first session will take 30 minutes, allowing us to understand your unique requirements. After the first session, most cupping procedures take only 20 minutes, ensuring that you receive the care you need in a time-efficient manner.
