Performance Training

This is a skilled training program here at A. Yumang Physical Therapy. This is for patients who want to perform well in their sport and skill. It could be soccer, volleyball, golf, etc. We will start with a thorough assessment, cover the foundation muscles specific to your anatomy and muscle imbalance, and help decrease the injury risk. Then, we will address sports-specific muscles that involve your sport. We will also facilitate a connection with your coach to ensure that our training aligns with your specific sport and to bridge the gap between your skills training and sports-specific activities.

Think of it as your Prehab, foundational training, and then coach yourself to address the sports-specific training and muscles to help decrease injury, perform at an optimum level, and communicate with your skills coach with more information, focus, and edge to be competitive. We include various areas to keep you healthy, strong, and better balance, stability, and mobility. Unlike the fitness program, this emphasizes Performance Training more heavily, especially on performance muscles. We train performance muscles such as proprioception training for balance athletes, core muscle for golfers, and Plyometrics and agility for soccer players, to name a few. We will continue to work on core stability, support, and accessory muscles important to your daily activities and function. This is great for strength and performance athletes who want their foundation muscles in excellent condition and shape and continue to help decrease the risk of injury or re-injury. This is also good with weight training at your gym, school, or self-training. At. A. Yumang Rehab, you will receive your trainer's expertise in the most up-to-date information, safety, and evidence-based approach.

Our program offers flexibility in training options. You can choose:

Train with your PT, PTA, or Fitness trainer, depending on your preference and budget. You can opt for a package of 12 sessions or book individual training sessions for more value. We have 20-minute, 30-minute, or 40-minute sessions available, so you can find a schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Exercise to Go. If you cannot come frequently, we can continue to update your progress, provide monthly feedback, or keep in touch with your gains. Our program is designed to cater to your individual needs. We will provide access to an exercise app where you can correspond with your trainer and give feedback and updates. This personalized approach ensures that your training always aligns with your goals and preferences.

Rest assured, our program is designed to address all the critical areas of your physical health. We will continue to improve your strength, impact endurance, core stability, athletic performance, and posture, ensuring you maintain your progress after your Rehab.

Improve strength: We will perform using weight training, free weights, monitored strength testings, and updates. We will also use more up-to-date performance equipment, such as BFR, which is currently used by Professional Sports teams.

Improve Endurance: Use appropriate equipment such as treadmills, bikes, and Plyometrics.

Improve Core Stability: Perform strength training and core training, which includes gym balls, kettlebells, and BOSUball.
