Functional Strength Training For adults

At A. Yumang Physical Therapy, we offer a cash-only maintenance and post rehab program designed specifically for you, the patient who is committed to continuing their training beyond Rehab. Our program is tailored to your individual needs, focusing on various areas to keep you healthy, strong, and improve your balance, stability, and mobility. We train performance muscles, continued core stability, support, and accessory muscles important to your daily activities, function, and leisure after graduation. Establish this before you graduate from Rehab then you can continue your training seamlessly. Otherwise, you will need a PT Consult after your graduation so your therapist can provide the most up-to-date planning, strategies, and goals.

Our program offers flexibility in training options. You can choose:

Train with your PT, PTA, or Fitness trainer, depending on your preference and budget. You can opt for a package of 12 sessions or book individual training sessions for more value. We have 20-minute, 30-minute, or 40-minute sessions available, so you can find a schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Exercise to Go. If you cannot come frequently, we can continue to update your progress, provide monthly feedback, or keep in touch with your gains. Our program is designed to cater to your individual needs. We will provide access to an exercise app where you can correspond with your trainer and give feedback and updates. This personalized approach ensures that your training always aligns with your goals and preferences.

Rest assured, our program is designed to address all the critical areas of your physical health. We will continue improving your strength, endurance, core stability, athletic performance, and posture, ensuring that you maintain your progress during rehabilitation.

Improve strength: We naturally lose strength, muscle, and bone mass as we age. Strength training at least 2x per week can help combat this process and maintain your function as you age. We will perform using weight training, free weights, monitored strength testings, and updates.

Improve Endurance: Both cardiovascular and muscular endurance training are vital for everyday function and activities. Use appropriate equipment such as treadmills, bikes, and plyometrics.

Improve Core Stability: Maintain a strong back, hip, and legs to avoid falling pain and maintain function. Perform strength and core training, including gym balls, kettlebells, and BOSUball.

Decrease Fall Risk: Falls are a leading cause of injury and death in the elderly. You can decrease your fall risk by being proactive with balance training and strengthening.

Improve Posture: This can help reduce pain, improve function, and decrease fall risk. Help lower the long-term effects of poor posture and reduce unforeseen musculoskeletal issues.

This program is cash-only and is not covered by your insurance. It is best to establish this plan before you graduate from rehab to avoid having to book a PT Consult. If you choose to start after you finish your Rehab and graduation, you will need a PT consult to establish this; that will be the most critical first step.
